glen-adams-picGlen Adams is a Jamaican musician, born Glenroy Phillip Adams in 1950, Adams is also a composer, arranger, engineer, and producer.   Adams’ first break in the music business came as a teenager when he appeared as a singer in a vocal group on Radio Jamaica’s Opportunity Knocks show

Adams’ older sister Yvonne was also a popular singer, and while rehearsing the song “Wonder Thirst” that she had written, Glen was spotted by Coxsone Dodd, who recorded the track in 1960.   In the late 1970s, Adams expanded into rap and R&B production, working with artist T Ski Valley. He has also worked with Shaggy, and remixed an album of previously unreleased material in 1996, released by Heartbeat Records as Upsetters a Go Go.

After many years in the studio, Adams has recently returned to live performance, touring the USA and Europe with The Slackers and also playing occasional NYC shows with the Jammyland All-Stars.  Adams now owns his own recording studio and has recently produced for artists such as Susan Cadogan and Keith Rowe, half of the vocal duo Keith & Tex from Jamaica.

junior_reid-picDelroy “Junior” Reid (born June 1965 in Kingston, Jamaica) is a reggae and dancehall musician, best known for the songs “One Blood” and “Funny Man”,  as well as being the man that replaced Michael Rose as lead vocalist for Black Uhuru.   Reid was born in the Tower Hill area of Kingston, and had a tough upbringing in the city’s Waterhouse district, notorious for being one of the most dangerous places in Jamaica.  It was there in the politically turbulent late ’70s that he recorded his first-ever single “Speak the Truth” at the age of 13 for the late Hugh Mundell.

As a producer, Reid has his own production company; JR Productions. He produced much of Snow’s second album released in 1995. Reid has collaborated and produced for artist Ninjaman, on many occasions since the early 90’s. He has also produced for Junior Demus, and reggae legends such as Dennis Brown and Gregory Isaacs and also opened his own recording studio.
